Richard is a coach and learning & development professional with 25 years experience in the retail, financial andcommercial arenas. He Influences and empowers a wide range ofpersonalities across all levels of seniority. Richard has a proven track record in learning design and consultancy, having been responsible for a range of successful learning interventions at leadership,management and graduate levels.
In particular Richard works with people to build on their innate strengths and talents to enhance both their personal effectiveness and their emotional wellbeing. As a pragmatist Richard’s focus is always on helping participants to apply these skills in their daily life, and thus shorten the learning curve!
Richard has extensive experience of leading group and individual developmentin highly regulated and technical environments. Recent assignments have involved working with the Financial Conduct Authority, The Prudential Regulatory Authority, The Bank of England, The EuropeanSecurities and Markets Authority, KPMG, Capgemini, Barclays, Brit Insurance, Kia and McLaren and Texas Instruments.
In addition to being a Strengthscope” practitioner Richard is a qualified coach, accredited as a “PRISM” Practitioner (A neuroscience tool) and an MBTI practitioner. These skills reflect Richard’s interest in positive psychology, which focuses on enhancement rather than correction. This makes the learning experience more powerful and enriching for participants. It also promotes self-belief and a commitment to make the changes that they believe will have the biggest impact on their success.
Richard has previous roles include L & D Business Partner for KPMG;Senior L & D associate at the Financial Services Authority;Financial Services Authority Supervisor and Senior Training Manager at HSBC bank.
Richard loves to travel and experience different cultures. During his career he has worked in North and Central America, the Middle East and extensively around Europe. It’s Richard’s ambition to experience as much of the world as possible during his lifetime!
Richard is a flexible person who enjoys variety, and he is happy to accept new assignments at short notice with short deadlines, as well as longer-term projects.
